How to use a Nunatak closed foot box quilt? I prefer to keep it simple:
Find a flat’ish spot, roll out the pad and get in the quilt. In the cool after midnight I sometimes snap the top and tighten the cord. The ETC manages side drafts.
We ship the quilts with straps but I don’t use them.
Additional notes
The quilt edges never go around the pad; they go only under you
Our foot boxes are all sewn permanently closed with a round end piece
Our quilts are comfort rated IF you: Sleep on a pad matching the conditions; wear a beanie, base layers and socks; use a shelter; go to bed with a full stomach, hydrated, acclimatized and free of fears.
